My oldest son is clearing a wooded lot to build a house for his family. Several young saplings and two large oak trees have to be cleared from the site. Today, we posted a video of him and his youngest brother cutting down one of the big trees. (There's a link to it in the sidebar, at right > .) It was a learning experience... The crosscut saw that was their primary tool for the job kept dropping off one of its handles. Turned out the antique tool was missing a couple of attachments that were meant to keep the handles on.
In the end, the big tree fell exactly as they wanted it to, and nobody got hurt.
